Massage Therapy

The massage therapy you receive is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation, therapeutic purposes, and the alleviation of muscular tension. Should you experience discomfort or pain during sessions, promptly inform the practitioner for necessary adjustments.

Massage therapy should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. You are advised to consult a qualified medical professional for any known mental or physical ailments.

Massage therapists are not qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness. Any information provided during sessions should not be misconstrued as such.

Because massage therapy should not be performed under certain medical conditions, you must disclose all known medical conditions and answer all questions truthfully. The practitioner should be updated as to any changes in your medical profile and the practitioner bears no liability should you fail to do so.

By accepting these terms & conditions you hereby waive and release your massage therapist at Roots Massage Therapy, along with all staff, employees, affiliates and independent contractors from any and all liability past, present, and future and any incident(s) relating to massage therapy.

Home visit

For a home visit, a minimum space of 2.8m by 1.6m is required for the couch to be set up, as well as available parking close by. You must also be able to relax without interruption during the appointment duration. By making a booking, you agree that you meet these criteria.

For home visits, a call-out fee applies, with a minimum charge of £5, and an additional £1 for each mile over 5 miles, up to a maximum travel distance of 15 miles.

Cancellation or no show

Roots Massage Therapy takes a 50% deposit on booking. This is non-refundable for cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Prior to 24 hours before the appointment you can reschedule via the booking app, or by getting in touch with Roots Massage Therapy. Failure to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice ("no-show") will result in being charged the full price of the massage session.

Inappropriate behaviour

Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by the client will result in immediate termination of the session, and the client will be liable for payment of the scheduled appointment.

Massage Membership

As a member, you are entitled to one massage, as indicated by the subscription per month at the agreed-upon membership rate.

Your membership will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis until it is cancelled by you. You may cancel your membership at any point.

You may cancel your membership within 14 days of subscribing and receive a refund, on the condition that no massages have been redeemed.

Membership fees will be automatically charged to your designated payment method on a monthly basis.

Any additional services or products purchased beyond the membership allowance will be charged separately.

Any unused massages within a given month will not roll over to the following month. It is your responsibility to utilise your allocated massages within the membership month.

Appointments are subject to availability. We recommend scheduling your massages in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

Memberships are non-transferable, but may be gifted as below. Within any given 12 month period, 2 treatments may be gifted for someone else to use.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee based on the full price of the membership. For any rescheduled appointments, the remaining balance must be paid.

Failure to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice ("no-show") will result in being charged the full price of the massage session.

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance via phone, email, or in person.

We reserve the right to modify membership benefits, pricing, or terms with 28 days notice. Notification of any changes will be communicated via email.

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards staff. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.
